(Innisfil, ON) South Simcoe Police were called to a Belle Ewart home on Thursday for an assault. A man reported that he had a dispute with his brother over some belongings left behind when his brother moved out. His brother arrived and immediately punched the victim in the face, pushed him to the ground and choked him, all the while threatening to kill him. The victim was able to break free, and the suspect left. He was contacted and turned himself in to police. A 41 year old Barrie man has been charged with Assault, Uttering Threats and Choking. He must stay away from the victim while he awaits his July court date.
