(PERTH EAST, ON) – Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called shortly after 2:30 p.m. on February 8, 2018 in the Township of Perth East following observations of a large bird flying inside of a moving motor vehicle.
The vehicle was located and stopped on Perth Road 119 where a large parrot was observed on the shoulder of the driver. The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
The Perth County OPP remind all drivers that the privilege of operating a motor vehicle is one which requires our full attention. Distractions or impediments of any kind can shift our focus from the roadway and increase the risk of a collision.
