Replica Handgun Recovered – Numerous Charges Laid

On Sunday September 18, 2016 at approximately 7:10 p.m., the London Police received a report of two males threatening occupants in the area of Brunswick Crescent and Brunswick Avenue, with one male possibly in possession of a handgun.

Several officers were dispatched to the area and at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers located and arrested two males in relation to this investigation. A replica handgun was recovered at the scene, and two adult males were charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Cody Leblanc-Ashe (20 years), of London:

– Threats to cause death, contrary to section 264.1(2);

– Carry a concealed weapon, contrary to section 90(2);

– Weapons dangerous, contrary to section 88(1);

– Breach of recognizance, contrary to section 145(3);

– Use firearm in commission of an offence, contrary to section 85.2;

– Assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a); and

– Assault police, contrary to section 270(1)(a).

Tyler Gibson (18 years), of Komoka:

– Threats to cause death, contrary to section 264.1(2).

No one sustained any injuries.
