Repeat Offenders Arrested With Methamphetamine In Owen Sound

On 03 August 2017 in the late morning hours the Owen Sound Police conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of 1 st Avenue East Owen Sound. The stop resulted in the arrest of two Owen Sound residents. Further investigation revealed both males to be in possession of a significant quantity of

drugs.

36 year old Owen Sound male charged with the following:

4 counts of Possession for the purpose of trafficking (Methamphetamine, Heroin, Fentanyl and Hydromorphone.)

Possession of cannabis resin.

2 counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Possession of proceeds of crime.

Obstruct peace officer.

Breach of an officer in charge undertaking.

2 counts of breach of probation.

Total value of drugs and proceeds is approximately $11,000.

25 year old Owen Sound male charged with the following:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine.

Possession of a prohibited weapon.

Breach of a weapons prohibition order.

Total value of the drugs is $1000.

Both males were held in custody and will appear in bail court in the morning.
