Incident: On Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 235 am, a male was seen by police exiting the rear of an Arthur Street home. The male was wearing dark clothing and gloves, carrying a backpack.
While searching his backpack, a silver revolver-style handgun was seen by officers. The male then reached down for the gun, and the officer prevented him from grabbing it. The male was immediately arrested and a knife was also found in the male’s pocket.
The man was also on two probation orders, one for possession of a weapon. As a result, the 22 yr old Brantford man was transported to the Brantford Police Station where he is to be held for bail and charged with weapons dangerous, resist arrest, and two counts of breach of probation.
