(Innisfil, ON) On Thursday, August 4, 2016, a youth was approached by a man in Alcona. The man threatened to kill the boy’s family if he didn’t accompany him. The pair walked around Alcona for several hours while the victim was afraid to run away. The suspect demanded the youth’s bank card and used it to purchase cigarettes. Around 1:00 p.m., the youth was able to get away from the suspect and called police. A 25 year old man was later located in Barrie and arrested by Barrie Police on an outstanding warrant. He was held for bail, and will be charged with Threatening Death, Intimidation and Theft Under $5000. The youth was not physically harmed.
