(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a male with numerous offences resulting from reports of an intoxicated male in Thornbury.
On June 25 2016 at approximately 7:00pm, OPP officers were notified of an intoxicated male that had been removed from the Greyhound bus in Thornbury after being disruptive to other passengers. Officers located the male shortly thereafter where he was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The male then became combative and threatening the officers on scene and during his transport to Collingwood detachment, he repeatedly attempted to break the windows of the police car, but to no avail.
The male was subsequently lodged at detachment. Charged is 24 year-old Cory ROBERTSON of Owen Sound, he was charged with assaulting a peace officer, causing a disturbance, mischief under $5000, uttering threats to cause death of bodily harm and 7 counts of fail to comply with probation order. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
