(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On Thursday June 1, 2017, at about 10:30 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a male breaching his condition of curfew on King Street East, Mount Forest.
When approached by officers the man fled on foot attempting to avoid arrest.
Police caught the man who unsuccessfully resisted arrest. He was found to be in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine.
35-year-old Gordon William KOSTAL of Mount Forest has been charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Resist Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code and Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was held for bail.
