On August 13 th , 2017 shortly after 2 am., Owen Sound Police were contacted by a citizen who had witnessed a male attempting to enter vehicles in the area of 8 th Street and 5 th Avenue East. Police quickly located the male and placed him under arrest. Police are familiar with the male as he had been arrested Friday evening for failing to comply with conditions of two probation orders.
The male had been released from custody Saturday morning on a promise to appear and conditions of an undertaking. 39 year old Chad McINTOSH, of no fixed address, is charged with attempted theft from motor vehicle, fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking and breaches of his probation orders.
McINTOSH will be held for a bail hearing later today.
