Repeat Offender Arrested For Threats

On Monday, March 21st, 2016 at 10:50pm Police arrested a 27 year old Barrie male for multiple counts of Uttering Threats and Breach of Probation. The charges come after the accused held a house party at his residence on Nelson Street, in the City of Barrie, on Saturday, March 5th, 2016. On this date the police were called to the residence due to a disturbance outside as well as loud music, intoxicated youths and the smell of marijuana coming from the house. On that date, the accused was charged under the City of Barrie Noise By-law as well as the Liquor Licence Act for supplying liquor to a person under 19 years old.

As a result of this incident, the accused became very angry with neighbouring residents who he blamed for contacting Police. The male met a neighbour on his driveway a short time later and uttered threats towards his house, his family and himself. The accused was currently on three separate probation orders for previous Uttering Threats, Assault and Weapons charges therefore was held for bail court Tuesday morning.
