Incident: On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m. a man entered a construction site on Greenwich Street in Brantford and stole scrap metal and electrical power cables. On Monday, March 14, 2016, Brantford Police Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated the theft. Video surveillance footage of the incident was provided to police and through our investigation, the man was identified. A warrant for arrest was sought, and on Thursday, March 16, 2016 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the accused was located and arrested. As a result, a 40 year-old Brantford man was charged with Theft, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
