On Tuesday August 2, 2016, just shortly after 9:00pm, Hamilton Police officers were in the proximity of Wentworth Street North and King Street East, when they were alerted to a robbery occurring at a store.
The officers remained in the area where they observed the suspect exiting the store. Officers confronted the suspect, who was disguised and armed with a knife. The suspect, a man was arrested without incident.
The victim did not sustain any injuries.
CHARGED: John LEAMAN, a 51 year old man from Hamilton.
CHARGES: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Failing to Comply with Recognizance.
