(STRATFORD, ON) – On Monday December 15, 2014, shortly before 2 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was driving on Ontario St. in Straftord when a Honda car was observed weaving in the marked lane of traffic.
The Honda Civic was pulled over and the female driver was found to display signs of impairment. She was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where she failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests. Renee JOHNSON (30) of Stratford was charged with “driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in bloodâ€Â, and “driving while ability impairedâ€Â, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on January 26, 2014 to answer to these charges. She was also issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
