Rene Jacquot – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Saturday evening March 12, 2011 a Perth County OPP officer who was keeping observation for a possible impaired driver seen in the Thamesford area. Shortly after 8 p.m. the officer spotted the suspect vehicle on Hwy. 7 south of Wildwood Park. The vehicle was observed weaving in its lane. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver was spoken to by police. The driver displayed obvious signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested.

The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville for breath tests. While at the Perth County Detachment the driver refused to provide samples of his breath.

Rene Jacquot (62) of London has been charged with impaired driving and with failing to provide a breath sample. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Stratford on April 11, 2011. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension.
