Religious Scammer Charged With Sexual Assault, Extortion etc – Syed Ahmed Amir KHAN (AKA) Sayyid Ahmed AMIRUDDIN Arrested

Peel – On June 17, 2016, Investigators from the Special Victims Unit arrested a 37 year old Mississauga man in relation to sexual assaults that occurred in the Region of Peel.

Syed Ahmed Amir KHAN, also known as Sayyid Ahmed AMIRUDDIN, has been arrested and charged with several sexual offences committed while he was practicing as a self-described Sufi religious healer. The victims were a 15 year old female and 20 year old female and the offences occurred over an eight-year period, beginning in 2008.

Syed Ahmed Amir KHAN has been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Extortion, two counts of Non-Consensual Distribution of Intimate Images and Sexual Exploitation. KHAN appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on June 18, 2016 for a bail hearing.

KHAN has operated as a religious healer for several years within the community and primarily targets the followers and adherents of Sufism. He has worked in this capacity both in Brampton and Mississauga, as well as the Guelph Line and QEW area of Burlington.

Investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims, and ask anyone with information to contact police.
