This evening a 26 year old Barrie man encountered his former girlfriend at a downtown bar. The male had hoped to re-establish their relationship but was turned down. At 9:00pm, Barrie Police Service received a complaint of a Break and Enter in progress at an east-end residence. Officers responded and discovered this same male was in one of the beds inside the home belonging to his ex. The male had slashed a screen and crawled through the window. He was arrested for Mischief and Unlawfully in a Dwelling. The accused was later released with a future court date once sober.
