Refusing To Blow In Bayfield Results In Court Date And Vehicle Impoundment – Name Released

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 64-year-old from Bayfield has been charged with Failure to Provide a Breath Sample following a traffic stop that took place in Bayfield over the weekend.

Just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a BMW on Fry Street in Bayfield to check on the sobriety of the driver.

Upon speaking with the female driver the investigating officer noted she had been consuming some alcohol. A roadside test was administered and the driver blew a Fail. She was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for subsequent breath tests. Upon arriving at the detachment the driver ultimately failed to provide a sample of her breath to the Intoxilizer technician.

Jadwiga PIASECKI, 64 years of age from Bluewater has been charged with Refuse to Provide Breath Sample. She now has a scheduled court appearance set for September 11, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

Her licence has also been suspended for an automatic 90 days and her vehicle has been impounded.
