(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 58-year-old driver from Tilbury will be making a court appearance in November to face a Refusal to Provide a Breath Sample charge following an incident that took place on October 15, 2015.
At approximately 2:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer responded to a call for service located at Melena Drive in Bayfield. The investigating officer observed the male suspect parked on the side of Melena Drive in a Ford Van. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the male had been consuming alcohol. A demand was given to the driver to provide a sample of his breath into the roadside screening device. The driver failed to provide the sample and was taken into custody.
He was transported to the Huron Detachment where he was processed and later released. Daniel SULLIVAN, 58 years of age from Tilbury has been charged with Fail to Provide Breath Sample. He has a scheduled court appearance set for November 23, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension.
