Recovered Stolen Pickup Truck

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Monday December 05, 2011 a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle parked along the abandoned railway bed located north of Perth Line 55 just east of Monkton.

Further investigation revealed that the Ford F150 pickup truck had been reported stolen on November 21, 2011 from a residence in St.Marys. At the time of the theft the truck had been left unlocked with the keys on the console. Upon recovery, the truck did not have its registered licence plates; instead it had one recently stolen plate from an address in Sebringville attached to the back of the vehicle. The truck had sustained minor damage during the time it was missing.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have information about this stolen/abandoned truck, or who may have seen suspicious activity around the abandoned railway bed west of Monkton to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
