The area of Edward Street, Elworthy Avenue and Base Line Road West has seen a recent increase in vandalism to motor vehicles. Between the 14th and 15th of June, 2016, there were 22 reported incidents involving damage to vehicles in these areas. In seven of the cases, the word “GREED” was carved into the side of the vehicles, in addition to the scratches (*see attached photos).
Between the 19th and 20th of June, 2016, there were an additional three reported incidents involving damage to vehicles in a nearby area.
Police are appealing to anyone who was the victim of a similar incident to report the damage through our online reporting system:
