(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On June 8, 2015, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a single motor vehicle crash on Mitchell Line between Fallon Drive and Observatory Drive.
A grey Honda car had been travelling northbound, left the roadway, struck a hydro pole, and rolled over numerous times in a field on the west side of the road..
It was determined that the 29 year old female driver had been drinking alcohol. She was placed under arrest, and transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries to hospital, where breath tests revealed she had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Rebecca SCOTT, from Ingersoll, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on August 6, 2015.
