(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) checkpoint set up on June 2, 2012 at the intersection of Telephone Road and Bayfield Road resulted in an over 80 milligram charge against a male driver. At 8:12 p.m. a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling eastbound on Telephone Road entered the checkpoint.
Upon speaking with the male driver, the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. Raymond Alton ULCH, age 49, from Huron East has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 milligrams of Alcohol. A court date is scheduled for July 30, 2012 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension. LP12149373
