Rash Of Mail Super Mailboxes Break And Enters Continue

On March 22, 2016 the Guelph Police went to two locations for the report that Canada Post super mailboxes had been entered. At 8:34 a.m., police went to Freshmeadow Way and Cranberry Court. At 9:30 a.m., police went to Pheasant Run and Ptarmigan Drive. It is unknown at this time if a theft occurred.

Road safety enforcement

On March 22 – In the area of Imperial Road and Deerpath Drive from 8:20 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. 1 ticket issued.

On March 22 – In the area of Paisley Road at Stephanie Drive from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. 4 tickets issued.

From Saturday, March 19, 2016 to Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Guelph Police C platoon conducted speed enforcement, intermittently between calls for service, on Watson Parkway North. This was due to numerous residents in the area complaining of excessive speeds. A total of 30 speeding tickets were issued during this time period. Guelph Police would like to remind motorists that Watson Parkway North is a posted 50km/h zone from Starwood Drive to Eastview Road.

Remember, unless otherwise posted, the speed limit on city streets is 50 km/hr.
