Randy Cormier – Caught With Cocaine Down His Pants

(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On Saturday October 20, 2012 at approximately 8:28pm County of Wellington OPP officers were on general patrol on St. Andrew St. in the Town of Fergus. At that time and location, P/C Cowie, a 3 1/2 year member of the Wellington County OPP recognized a male party walking southbound on the sidewalk as someone he knew to be wanted by another police service on an outstanding warrant.

P/C Cowie stopped and spoke to the male who initially falsely identified himself with another name. The officer continued to question the male who eventually confirmed his identity. The male suspect was placed under arrest and was subsequently searched. Upon searching the individual, police located a large amount of Canadian currency as well as a baggy containing a substantial quantity of cocaine that was hidden down the male’s pants.

Randy Cormier aged 28 of Toronto has been charged with Possession for the Purpose – Cocaine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on January 22, 2013 to answer to the charge. The male was turned over to Toronto Police Service officers in regards to the warrant.
