With the holiday season right around the corner, we know the shopping season has begun.
As the stores become busy, be aware of your surroundings and the people around you. Bring only what you need to do your shopping that day. Leave extra cash and credit cards at home. Hold your purse tightly and close to your body. Better yet, leave your purse at home and carry your cash and identification in your pocket.
If someone grabs your purse from your hands or shoulder, let it go. Your safety is more important. Do however scream and yell to attract attention. Make note of the suspect’s physical descriptors and call police immediately.
