Puppy Recovered from Robbery Incident

Mississauga –On Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at approximately 7:54 p.m., three suspects attended the victim’s residence, located in the area of Morning Star Drive and Goreway Drive in Mississauga, posing as buyers for a puppy, which the victim had advertised on Kijiji. The suspects then pepper- sprayed the victim and fled with the puppy in a silver, four-door Honda Civic.

On Thursday June 16, 2016, a family found the puppy in Whitby, Ontario, wandering in the area. The family recognized the puppy as the one stolen from Peel through media coverage and photos released on social media. Peel Regional Police were contacted, retrieved the puppy and returned the dog to its rightful owner. The puppy was in good health and unharmed.

Peel Regional Police continue to investigate the incident.

The first suspect is described as male, East Indian, late teens to early twenties, skinny build, dark complexion, with a beard from his chin tapering to his ears. He was wearing glasses with thick frames and dark clothing.

The second suspect is male, East Indian, late teens to early twenties, 5’10”, 180 lbs., short hair, with earrings about a quarter inch wide on both ears. He was wearing a jacket and running shoes.

The third suspect is a female, East Indian, late teens to early twenties, with a thin build, long black hair, and a possible name of Karen.
