The Owen Sound Police are conducting an investigation regarding a missing 67 year old Owen Sound resident. Rijk VANHUISSTEDE was last seen at approximately 11:00am Friday morning at Heritage Place Shopping Mall 1350 16 th Street East Owen Sound. VANHUISSTEDE often walks many kilometers with his service dog Onyx but typically is home before 6:00pm. His family reported him missing at approximately 11:30pm when he failed to return home.
VANHUISSTEDE is described as a white male, 6’ 5”, 250lbs, brown eyes, glasses, white hair, and white beard. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket with “Wind Dance” embroidered on the back, blue jeans and white running shoes.
VANHUISSTEDE’S dog is a German shepherd mix, black in colour and is wearing a tan coloured coat and a harness.
