There will be a public information meeting to view the Maitland River conceptual plans developed by students from the University of Guelph.
Last year, a partnership was formed between North Huron, the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority, and the University of Guelph. Graduate students from the Landscape Architecture program visited Wingham to gather information about the topography, drainage, soils, vegetation, paths, trails, parking, and park uses along the Maitland River in Wingham, near Riverside Park and the Howson Dam. One of the learning objectives of the course was to have students work together on a project and develop detailed conceptual plans that would provide reasonable options for the site.
