Public Assistance Request Dog Bite – Owen Sound

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred around the 1800 block of 9th Avenue East in Owen Sound. The dog may have been heading toward 20th Street. The incident occurred late afternoon on Friday, September 23. The dog was described as medium size, dark in colour and wearing a brown or black collar.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
