Public Assistance is being sought in relation to identifying a dog and owner after a dog bite incident on Tuesday 22 July 2014 at approximately 2:00pm.
A 43 year old male was walking along the multi-purpose trail on North Shore Road where it meets Miramichi Bay Road.
At this point he met a group of 4 people walking 4 dogs.
There were 2 white Huskies, a small dog which breed is unknown and a large brown St. Bernard which was not on a leash.
The Huskies barked at the complainant and the St. Bernard approached him and lunged at him.
The first lunge the complainant was able to deflect, the second lunge the St. Bernard bit the complainant in the lower left abdomen causing a puncture wound.
The group was described as adult male and female and two younger females.
The male was 6’1
