Propane Truck Flips Closing Grey Road 17

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFF, ON) – On January 10, 2017, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Grey Rd. 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs after a propane truck entered the north ditch and flipped over onto the driver’s side.

Investigation revealed that the 2004 International 70S propane truck was travelling eastbound on Grey Rd. 17 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The 40-year old male driver from South Bruce Peninsula was not injured.

Grey Rd. 17 between Zion Church Rd. and Mountain Lake Rd. was closed for about two hours in the interest of public safety. The vehicle, which was not carrying propane at the time, sustained moderate damage as a result of the collision.

The Inter-Township Fire Department and Grey County Paramedic Services attended the scene to assist.

No charges are anticipated.
