(BRANT TWP, ON) – On September 16th, 2011 at 11:56 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report that produce was being thrown at vehicles on County Road 10 in Brant Township. Officers arrived and noted cobs of corn and pumpkins along the roadway.
The South Bruce OPP is warning all residents that this is a criminal act. An object thrown into the path of a vehicle moving at 80 km/h will hit with enough force to seriously injure or kill a person. In addition, an object that strikes a vehicle with no warning could cause the driver to crash. The maximum penalty for mischief endangering life is life in prison. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
