6:02 am police responded to a theft from a boat sometime overnight at the Chesley St boat launch. A quantity of fishing gear was stolen, no suspects.
8:25 am police responded to the Pipers Glen golf course to a complaint of some golf carts being taken and driven around the golf course on Saturday evening during a function at the course. One of the drivers identification had fallen from his pocket out on the golf course. He has been trespassed from the golf course.
12:57 am police responded to a Port Elgin home where a bicycle had been stolen and one had been left there in its place. Please lock up your bicycles.

12:45 am a 19 year old Saugeen Shores man was charged with walking around Green and Kaake St drinking alcohol.

8:22 am police responded to Harbour Stevens St to a report of a hydro pole being struck. A vehicle had struck the pole sometime overnight stripping away a large portion of the pole. The vehicle left the scene. Anyone with information on this matter is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
12:46 am police responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at Island St near Cedar Bush Drive. The incident occurred the week previous on the 4th of July. Minor injuries, police are investigating.
2:19 pm, sometime overnight someone stole a lawn ornament from a fence on Thede Drive. The ornament is star shaped. No suspects.
10:31 pm police on foot patrol downtown Port Elgin were alerted by Queens’s staff about a male party that appeared to have been drinking too much. Police spoke to the individual who was known to police but identified himself giving his younger brothers name. The male was arrested for public intoxication. During arrest it was discovered he had marihuana in his possession. He was arrested and held and charged with public intoxication and possession of marihuana.
12 July 14,
11:22 am police arrested a 44 year old out of town male on the strength of a warrant by the OPP. The warrant was for Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Sexual Exploitation. He was turned over to the Ontario Provincial Police.
12:31 pm police received a report of a bicycle stolen from a Southampton residence. Please lock your bicycles and lock your vehicles.
8:47 pm police responded to the theft of two bicycles from a rear yard on Tyendinaga Dr Southampton. The bicycles were chained together.
11:32 pm at the end of the Bruce Power fireworks when the rain started a young male was separated from his family. Police located the male in the south end of Port Elgin and was transported to his parents at New Fairway Campground.

8:32 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Goderich and Gustavus St Port Elgin. Four people were transported by ambulance to the Southampton Hospital. Police are investigating.
