6:36 pm police responded to a mischief complaint at the Boston Pizza parking lot. A vehicle broke down in the middle of the lot and another driver was upset the lane was blocked and got into an argument with the driver of the disabled vehicle. The man then kicked the vehicle at the driver’s door and cracked the windshield of the vehicle. The suspect left in a late model Chev or GMC dark pickup truck. Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to call police.

11:16 am police and ambulance responded to a motor vehicle collision on Goderich St. near McDonald’s. A vehicle was stopped northbound in the center lane of Goderich St turning left into McDonalds. Another vehicle rear ended the stopped vehicle. A passenger in the rear ended vehicle was treated by ambulance. The responsible driver was charged with Careless Driving.

5:29 pm police responded to the Southampton Hospital to an assault complaint. The victim had attended to the hospital and was treated for minor injuries. As a result of investigation a 53 year old Saugeen Shores male was charged with assault.
31 Jan 2015,
2:25 am police observed a vehicle driving erratically in Port Elgin. The vehicle was stopped and the driver failed a roadside breath test. At the police office the male provided breath sample readings of 220 and 220 mgms. Ron McLelland, 37 years of Paisley was charged with Drive Over 80 mgms, his drivers licence was suspended for 90 days under the ADLS system, and his vehicle was towed.
3:12 am police were called to a disturbance on Bricker St. During the disturbance one of the males threw a chair through a window. The male was located, arrested and charged with Mischief.
4:50 pm, police were investigating the theft of an Ipad and two Ipods from a residence in Southampton. The property was returned and the complainant did not wish to proceed with charges.
5:11 pm police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the Foodland parking lot. A vehicle struck another parked vehicle and left the scene in a white sedan. Anyone who may have witnessed this is asked to call police.
9:56 pm police conducted RIDE in Saugeen Shores, no violations.
11:07 pm police responded to McDonald’s where some drugs were located in the washroom. The drugs were seized.
