2:47 pm police received a complaint of a vehicle struck while parked at the Walmart parking lot. No suspects.
15 Apr 14,
2:14 pm police received information of a possible shoplifter at the Foodland in Southampton. The responsible party had left the store but was captured on video and observed by an employee. The suspect was followed to his vehicle and a licence plate number was acquired. On the 18th of April the suspect was arrested for theft and was further released on outstanding theft charges from Strathroy.

7:35 pm police were dispatched to a Southampton motel to remove an intoxicated person who would not leave. A 41 year old Saugeen Reserve woman was arrested for public intoxication and lodged in the cells until sober.
17 Apr 14,
7:44 am police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Rd #3 near Concession #8. A large bird caused the driver to swerve and lose control striking the guardrails. No injuries.
19 Apr 14,
2:29 am police responded to a report of a taxi driver not being paid for a fare and the driver knew the suspect. The passenger was contacted by police who attended the following day and paid his fare.
2:49 pm police received a complaint of a possible intoxicated person walking on North Rankin St. The person had been drinking and was given a lift home.
8:52 pm police responded to a motor vehicle / deer collision on Railway St. The vehicle was damaged and needed to be towed.
11:21 pm police responded to Lehnen St Port Elgin to a report of a vehicle having struck a stop sign and continuing. This was observed by a witness. The vehicle and driver were identified and the driver was charged with failing to report an accident.
11:35 pm police responded to a car / deer collision on Bruce Rd #3 between Burgoyne and the Saugeen River. The deer dies and the vehicle received extensive damage.
20 Apr 14,
10:05 am someone took an unlocked bicycle from beside Duffy’s Fish and Chips downtown Southampton. No suspects. Please lock your valuables, Lock it or Lose it. Take away that opportunity for someone to take something from you.
5:14 pm police responded to the CAW parking lot where a vehicle struck a pole. No injuries.
