4:14 pm police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Goderich St. A vehicle was north and stopped turning left and was rear ended by another vehicle that could not come to a stop. No injuries.

6:20 am sometime overnight an object was thrown at the front windshield of a vehicle parked on High St smashing it. No suspects.
10:18 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision at River and Bricker St. A vehicle was east on River St and could not come to a stop at Bricker St. and struck a vehicle south on Bricker St. No injuries, both vehicles had to be towed.

8:17 pm, police investigated a racially charged complaint. A caller from Owen Sound made several calls to a Saugeen Shores resident making comments about his beliefs, culture and religion. Police spoke to the caller who was cautioned about potential Criminal Harassment charges if the calls continue.

2:36 pm police attended to a vehicle in the ditch on Bruce Rd #3, no injuries, no damage.
2:38 pm members of the Saugeen Shores and Owen Sound Police Services executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant on a Port Elgin residence. As a result of the search David Carefoot 33 years and Tiffany Johnson 24 years both of Saugeen Shores have been charged with several drug related offences. Both are jointly charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of morphine, possession of methadone, possession of marihuana. Johnson is further charged with Failing to comply with probation. Both appeared in Walkerton Court Friday 16 January for a bail hearing.
7:01 pm police received a report of a car / deer collision on Concession #2.
7:05 pm police received a report that snowmobiles were using the Rail Trail. Police were not able to locate the snowmobiles. The use of these machines is prohibited on the Rail Trail and those caught doing so may face trespassing charges.

2:20 am police and ambulance were dispatched to a report of a male who had fallen in the street face first and was not moving. The male was very intoxicated and was taken care of by the ambulance attendants and taken home by a friend.
11:37 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Goderich and Emma St. Two vehicles were south on Goderich St in the center lane when the first vehicle slowed and signaled to move to the curb lane. The second vehicle could not slow in time and struck the turning vehicle. No injuries. The driver of the following vehicle was charged with Following Too Closely.
12:43 pm police assisted with a vehicle that had slid into the ditch on South St, no injuries, no damage.

11:17 am, police responded to an address on The River Road to a report of the theft of two snowmobiles. Sometime overnight two snowmobiles were stolen from the side of a residence. The two snowmobiles are described as a 2012 Skidoo Renegade Black and White licence 7AA798 and a 2008 Skidoo TNT yellow, licence 979605. Anyone with any information on these thefts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
11:46 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the Southampton arena parking lot where two vehicles collided, no injuries.
9:04 pm police in Hanover arrested a 20 year old male person on a warrant held by the Saugeen Shores Police Service. An arrest warrant had been issued for his arrest after failing to appear on charges of driving under suspension and possessing a suspended licence. The man was taken to court for a bail hearing.
