Power Tools Stolen From Work Van

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating the recent theft of approximately $6,000 in power tools stolen from a work van. Huron OPP members learned of the theft on January 14, 2015 when the property owner contacted police to report his locked work van was broken into sometime through the night.

The victim parked his company work van in the 400 block of Main Street South in Exeter around 9:00 p.m. on January 13, 2014. The next morning, around 7:00 a.m. when he arrived at the job site he discovered his locked van had been entered and several expensive power tools had been stolen.

The stolen tools consist of a Makita Power tool set comprised of a sawsall, impact drill, jigsaw, grinder, skill saw and a battery charger. All items are green and black. This tool set is valued at approximately $1,000.

Also stolen was a red Burndy Patriot Press used for crimping heavy duty gauge wire. The model of the Patriot Press is a PAT750-LI. The estimated value of the machine is approximately $5,000.
