Possible Abduction Attempt Using School Bus

On Monday, February 10, 2014 it was reported to the London Police Service that a school bus was in the area of Highview Avenue West and Highview Crescent before school which stopped to pick up students.

A fully marked school bus attended a pick up spot, activated all the proper emergency equipment, and opened the doors. Some kids were about to get on the bus when they realized that it wasn’t their bus, and did not get on. The driver did not try to entice or encourage the kids to get on the bus. The bus then left the area and the regular bus arrived a short time later. There was a dog on the bus.

There were no other reports of similar acts. It is possible that this was a new driver who was not familiar with the route, however further inquiries are being conducted by the police.
