On the 27th of October 2014, a 22 year old male entered a south end hardware store and concealed on his person approximately $1000 worth of power tools. The male then exited the store with the property failing to pay for it. The entire incident was captured on video.
Later that day, the males 42 year old mother entered a downtown pawn store and was able to sell the property for an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police commenced the investigation and were able to identify both the male and female whom were captured on the video during the incident.
While on routine patrol, police observed the suspect female in the area of Anne and Dunlop Street. She was arrested without incident and the property was recovered from the pawn store.
The female was held pending a bail hearing and there is currently a warrant for her son’s arrest.
