(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) Between Thursday December 30, 2010 and Saturday 01 January 1011 a suspicious male had been observed walking in the area of Perth Line 43, Road 109 and Line 47. The male had been seen standing near tree lines and rural homes.
Since the initial sightings of the male, the Perth County OPP has received reports of break-ins into a number of rural vacant buildings in the area. It appears buildings were entered and may have been used as a place of shelter for the night. At one rural residence a summer kitchen door was forced open, a pair of boots and a jacket were removed. Some rural residents in the North Easthope Ward area have also reported the theft of food items from their residences.
The Perth County OPP is looking for a 6’ tall male, thin build having a scruffy moustache and a goatee. He had brightly coloured kid’s necklaces around his neck. He was also wearing a red/black plaid jacket with a hoodie underneath. He will most likely be wearing lace up tan boots.
The male has a French accent and did tell someone that he was from Quebec.
He was also observed having a black handled kitchen knife in his possession.
Anyone having noticed suspicious activity on their property or who observed this male is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
