Police Seek Public Assistance In Locating Hit and Run Driver – One Sent To Hospital

ASSISTANCE REQUESTED IN IDENTIFYING CAR & DRIVER 2012-08-28

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) The Perth County OPP is investigating a fail to remain collision that occurred on Thursday August 23, 2012 between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. along Perth Line 86 east of Molesworth.

An adult female was rollerblading west bound on the paved north edge of the west bound lane of Perth Line 86. When she was approximately 500 meters west of Road 176 she was struck from behind by the passenger side of a west bound car. The impact caused the female to be thrown onto the gravel shoulder. The car did not stop and was last seen driving west bound towards Molesworth.

The female was transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital where it was determined that she sustained major injuries to her left hand. The hand injuries are consistent with impacting the passenger side of the vehicle or its passenger side mirror. She also received minor injuries from her fall on the gravel shoulder.
