Police Seek Public Assistance – Fail To Remain Collision

The Middlesex OPP is seeking the assistance of the public in locating a vehicle indirectly involved in a fail to remain collision on November 23, 2009 at approximately 4:00 pm. The collision occurred on Highway 401 at the Highway 402 ramp. Witnesses report that a burgundy Honda Civic was travelling westbound on Highway 401 at a high rate of speed when it suddenly attempted to exit onto the Highway 402 ramp. The driver of the Honda lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a swampy ditch. A second vehicle stopped at the scene, gathered up the driver of the Honda along with bags from inside the car and left the area westbound on Highway 402 towards Sarnia.

The assisting vehicle is described as a light blue Infinity G25 two door. The driver of the Infinity is described as male, approximately 5’8”, average build, bald and he was wearing a shirt and tie.

The Honda driver who left the scene of his collision is described as 5’7” with a stocky build. He had a goatee and had short hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.
