Police Seek More Victims: Bradley Finlayson 5X Break and Enter, Undergarment Thefts

(HURON COUNTY, ON) – The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has a male in custody following years of investigation into theft of clothing. The investigation covered nearly a 12 year span starting with the initial break and enter reported to Huron County OPP in September of 2001. Over the course of the next three years seven similar break and enters were reported to Huron OPP. In January of 2013 another similar break and enter was reported.

The break and enters occurred within the municipalities of Morris-Turnberry and Huron East. In each case the victim reported women’s undergarments were stolen.

A comprehensive review of the cases combined with further investigation ultimately led to the arrest of the accused on June 17, 2013.

As a result, Bradley FINLAYSON, age 36, from Huron East has been charged with five counts of Break, Enter and Theft Under $5,000 contrary to section 348 (1)(b) Criminal Code, Break and Enter with Intent contrary to section 348 (1)(a) Criminal Code and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354 (1)(a) Criminal Code.

He remains in custody.

Huron OPP would like to speak with persons in the area that may have had similar articles of clothing stolen.
