Police Seek Information In $50,000 Unsolved Arson Case

(GODERICH, ON) – The Huron Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Unit is seeking information from the public in relation to an unsolved arson investigation from August 15, 2012. Shortly after 10:15 p.m. Huron County OPP officers and Goderich Fire Department members attended the scene of a structure fire located at 122 West Street in Goderich. Goderich Fire Department members quickly extinguished the fire, however, the fire caused approximately $50,000 damage to the unoccupied two storey home. The home was under construction at the time.

Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause of the fire to be arson. Police are continuing to investigate and would like to speak with anyone that may have information about this case.
