(ST.MARYS, ON) On Sunday morning February 27, 2011, at 1:40 a.m. one of the fire alarms at the Pyramid Centre in St.Marys was activated at the west side entrance of the building.
The St.Marys fire department responded to the alarm and determined it to be false in nature. At the time of the activation the hall was being rented out and a Special Occasion Permit had been issued for the facility.
The Perth County OPP is investigating this serious incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have knowledge of the individual’s identity responsible for this criminal act. (Anyone who wilfully sets off a fire alarm without reasonable cause is subject to a criminal charge as set out by the Criminal Code of Canada).
