(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday November 25, 2011 shortly after 7 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to the Milverton stock yards on Spencer St. in Milverton where a fail to remain crash resulted in damage and the escape of twelve pigs.
A stock yard employee reported that sometime between 5 and 6 p.m. an unknown vehicle struck a barn door and a heavy steel farm gate behind the door. The impact caused extensive damage to the door as well as the gate and caused a pen with twelve pigs to be opened. The pigs escaped but were later captured without incident.
