Police Request the Public’s Assistance in Identifying Shooting Suspects

Brampton – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance to identify three suspects involved in a shooting incident in Brampton.

On Tuesday, July 13, 2016, at approximately 3:25 p.m., the victim attended local hospital after having been shot in the parking lot of a motel located in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road in Brampton.

The victim had been seated within a vehicle with friends when three suspects approached the vehicle. An exchange of words occurred between the suspects and the parties within the vehicle. At this point, one of the suspects produced a handgun and fired at the victim. The suspects then fled the area.

The victim, a 15 year-old male from Toronto, was driven to local hospital. He was later transferred to a trauma centre in Toronto, where he remains in stable, non- life-threatening condition.

Suspect #1 is described as male, multi-racial, about 5’6”, 20 years old, thin build with brown afro-style hair. Suspect #2 is male, black, about 5’5”, 18 years old, with medium build and braided collar length hair. Suspect #3 is male, black, 21 years old, thin build with a dark complexion. The suspects fled in a dark-coloured, 4- door car.

Investigators would like to speak to any individuals who were in the area of Queen Street East and Kennedy Road in Brampton at the time of the incident or anyone who may have information on this matter.

This is believed to be an isolated incident, however, the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. If anyone comes into contact with the suspects, or knows their whereabouts, they should contact police immediately.
