On Tuesday February 18, 2014 just before 10:30am, a lone adult male entered a Scotiabank at 64 King St. West in Kitchener and demanded cash. A short time later, the same suspect entered the Scotiabank at 1258 King Street East in Kitchener.
In both incidents, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries and no weapon was seen.
The suspect is described as a 5’9†– 6’ tall, approximately 40-50 years old with a heavy build with a lighter coloured beard or goatee. He was wearing a bulky black coat, a grey hoodie underneath, a burgundy or red plaid scarf wrapped around his face, a black toque with a possible brim, dark aviator sunglasses, black stretchy gloves and faded blue jeans.
Police responded to the locations but were unable to locate the suspect. Police are requesting assistance with identifying the suspect and are releasing the attached security camera images.
