(ST. MARYS, ON) – On Sunday, September 23, 2018, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Perth County detachment received a request from Stratford Police Service to assist with a mental health related call for service.
Members of the Perth County OPP detachment, along with West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Crisis Negotiator Team (CN), and Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) attended an address on Queen Street in the Town of St. Marys to assist with locating a male.
The male was located and apprehended under the Mental Health Act without incident and transported to a local hospital. Police left the area at approximately 3:30 p.m.
