On August 17, 2014 at 1:55 a.m., the Guelph Police were downtown when they observed a man punch another man knocking him to the ground. When police approached this man he punched an officer and then tried to run away. After a short foot pursuit the man was arrested.
Stephen Gauntlett, 21 years of Oakville has been charged with assault and assault police. He will appear in court on September 30, 2014.
